Kingdom for Energy Investments extends its support to King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) by donating JOD 15,000 to cover treatment costs for less fortunate cancer patients through the GoodWill Fund.
The fund is one of several support programs initiated by KHCF to provide aid to cancer patients. In addition to covering treatment costs, the GoodWill Fund supports patients with transportation costs, accommodation costs and food coupons.
Part of the donations and contributions given to KHCF are channelled to upgrade the medical capacity of King Hussein Cancer Center and to spread awareness about cancer and early detection programmes.
KEC is committed to Goal 3 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Good Health and Well-Being. Accordingly, KEC prioritises cancer patients as part of its responsibility to the local community. Cancer treatment is a lengthy and costly process and every small donation is believed to have a great impact on the patients’ lives.
KEC’s CEO, GhalebSammak said “We value KHCF’s efforts to institutionalise fundraising in order to prevent, early detect, and provide treatment for cancer patients. KEC’s humble support and donations to KHCF stem from our belief in the role of the corporate’s social responsibility towards the well-being of Jordanians. No one should fight cancer on their own”.
