Al Zanbaq for Energy Generation PSC was established to develop, construct, and operate a 10 MW solar Photovoltaic (PV) plant in Ma’an, south of the capital, Amman.
This project is expected to provide the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) with 26 GWh of electricity annually (at P50) for 20 years under a Power Purchase Agreement. This agreement with the government will supply 12,000 customers annually with clean electricity produced locally.
Kingdom for Energy Investments Company owns 30% of Al Zanbaq for Energy Generation. By harnessing the power 300-320 sunny days in Jordan, KEC cultivated emerging investment opportunity and germinated the idea of investing in renewables for its shareholders.
